I'm not technically or mechanically minded so whenever something goes awry with my car I panic slightly. My car is under warranty but to be honest the list of exclusions is lengthy and what it does cover much smaller! Previously I've taken my car in to the dealership only to be made aware of just how little I know and to be blinded with things I just don't understand and usually winding up paying a good chunk. Well, last time I had a problem with my car I thought 'sod it' and went elsewhere to a small, independent garage. Had the work done and paid fairly for it. This weekend my check engine light came on, rang them straight away. They said they would charge for a diagnostic and then any other work it needed. Took it in, they found the problem, handed me the keys and said 'no charge, it was a simple fix.' I pushed and they still said no.
Never been more grateful and now they've got themselves a very loyal customer.
