Trying to figure out if I'm getting screwed on my employee retirement plan due to fees. I know that I'm invested in all low-cost index funds, and I waived having the company manage my account since I know enough to allocate my own investments. Despite this, there seems to be a fair amount of other fees I'm being charged with.
For instance, I'm getting hit with a Participant Account Maintenance fee of about $2 every month
I've looked up the fee disclosure from my retirement plan custodian, and all of the information is too esoteric for me to understand. Does anyone know a good way to evaluate their retirement plan's fees for those not super familiar with finance jargon?
