Hello! Thank you in advance for even reading it and wondering about an answer.

I own a pair of running shoes, Asics GT-2000. It's not my first pair, I think it's like fourth or fifth (I owned GT-1000 before, but that doesn't really matter).

They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Maybe it has something to do with my type of feet, I don't know. I wear them all the time. I really mean it. The only conditions that make me change them for something else are winter snows (and even that isn't always the case). I love them, but I need something much more durable. Every pair I've had broke within a year or year and a half.

I need something that I can wear all the time. For long-walking periods and for every-day activities. Not for running, though, as I don't do that. Maybe it's weird to have running shoes and not run in them, but it is a matter of comfort. I bought my first pair before a long hitchhiking trip and it was a dream. Like walking on a cloud or something. I could walk in them all day and my feet felt great (but it didn't help with the sweating, though).

I should point out that I don't want to give a way a single percent of comfort. I'd rather buy myself a new pair every year, which I'll hate myself for, but I don't think I can go back to anything less comfortable. Other than that, they need to look like sneakers. Some might say that Asics shoes are ugly, but I like them. I wouldn't want “gentleman leather shoes” or anything like that.

Maybe it is a wrong approach to expect one pair for everything, but still – maybe you have some ideas?
