Hello all,

I am a 30 year old watchmaker in Philadelphia, PA and I have some questions about a possible job opportunity and how much I should be looking for in an offer. Income: 60k/yr salary + ~ 3500/yr sidework Expenses: rent-625/mo workshop 340/mo student loan payments 1500/mo consumables 400/mo Debts: Student loan 1: 57,500 @ 8% fixed Student loan 2: 26,500 @ 5.5 var Student loan 3 (federal): 24,900 @ 6%

I am talking with a tech startup in Seattle, WA and it seems that an equivalent salary is around 80k? I have very low bills outside of student loans as I have a very quiet lifestyle that has me spending my time in my workshop learning woodworking and furthering my machining knowledge. I often feel quite overwhelmed with my debt but I think that though this move to a much more expensive city comes with some risk though the possibility of paying down my debts more quickly as they are fixed and would be a smaller percent of my income seems to be a good choice. I have a BSc. in a related field to the tech company and they are looking for a technical person to do manufacture and assembly. What is a reasonable asking wage? I know I need to refinance my loans, and would also appreciate leads on good companies to deal with. My credit score is 'very good' at just shy of 800.
