For anyone looking to slash their cell phone bill: I'm in the NY/NJ area and recently switched from Verizon to Mint Mobile. 4 months in and I'm a happy customer. It's like I didn't even switch carriers because I can't notice a difference in coverage. Except now I'm saving $500 a year.
If you're curious, I wrote a comprehensive review about my experience with Mint so far. It's not for everybody — especially rural areas, and like, the entire state of Nebraska — but if you live in or near a city, it's worth a look.
