On 2/4/19, I bought a MSFT $80 call expiring 1/15/2021. The breakeven is $110.28. It is currently valued at $4303. If I were to buy a $50 call right now, with the same expiry and a breakeven of $120.10, it would cost $7010. My question is, if the $80 call I already have has a lower breakeven and exactly the same expiry date, why is the $50 call worth so much more? Is it just a matter of decay? Or will it eventually go up in value and be worth more over time?
