My theory is that Spotify will eventually (don't know exactly when) get acquired by either Microsoft or Facebook. Why, you ask? Simple. From the five tech giants: Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft three out of the five already have their own music streaming service. Amazon Music, Apple Music, and YouTube Music whom all compete amongst each other. Facebook and Microsoft do not currently have a service of their own that competes in this space. What better way is there to enter this market than to buy the market leader (Spotify) and get a massive head start plus be able to integrate your eco-system with it? Spotify are struggling in the aspect of paying royalties/licensing to record labels and don't have the financial backing the other players have (AMZN, AAPL, GOOGL). I'm not even sure if Spotify is profitable yet. Facebook could easily get in, take the massive market share, and integrate their social media platforms with it.

What are your thoughts, guys? Am I crazy for thinking this or am I one of the great financial minds of our time?
