I've been with the same bigger insurance company since I got my car, paying what I thought was fairly cheap ($120/mo), didn't think much of it.
Somehow got into a click hole looking at other options and got quoted 90/month auto PLUS renters - I didn't have renters before but it made my total premium less and now I am covered for more. Switched immediately.
I do live in the midwest though.
Just as an FYI if you're looking to cut costs.
