My partner decided to offer my skills to family to make a lamp out of pipe fixtures and I have a few questions to make it safe.I plan on running wire straight from the socket, through the pipe, to the plug. Do I need to ground it somewhere? And how exactly would I do that?The pipe, when I buy it, seems a little oily. Can I use acetone to clean it and also get off any stickers. (galvenized steel and black steel)Lastly, protecting the steel. Is there anything I could do a quick spray over to porter it from rust/damage?
