Be frugal with your time, it's worth much more than the hourly rate your boss pays you.
Find free stuff on Craigslist you can clean up and flip. Or flat out sell. Take your kids, make it a learning experience. People skills. Budgeting. Market forecasting. Negotiations.
Sell your hobby on pinterest. Again, get your kids to help if time is an issue/single parent.
So often we forget the value of of our time, and what it could be worth spent growing yourself or dabbling in entrepreneurship.
Don't forget to be frugal with you.
Most importantly, don't ever forget you are worth more than money.
