Hi all,My neighbour gave me a bunch of 61cm x 61xm glass panels. The edges are raw glass and the panels are unframed. I would like to build a mini greenhouse out of them, and my plan is to make a wooden frame and then attach the glass to the outside as well as making a little door. The whole structure won't be too big, I am thinking about 140cm cube ish size.I'm at a bit of an add end about how to frame the glass. My plan was to construct a simple wooden square frame and then lay the glass on top, so that the edges of the glass just overlap the frame by a few cm. I would then glue/nail strips of wood to the frame, butting up against the glass. I would then silicone the glass in place and nail in a few strips of molding on top of the glass (nailed into the frame). So the only things holding the glass in would be silicone and molding - does this sound sturdy enough? Sorry this is not explained very clearly... I hope that the silicone will allow the wood to expand and not crush the glass.I've tried googling a few different things, how to construct window frame, etc., but I don't have a lot of tools. I am working with hand tools only, so router, etc., are all unavailable to me.Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2I6awUZ
