We seem to get it from extended family and a few co-workers that act like it is the weirdest thing. They cannot wrap their heads around how much we enjoy going to the library on Friday afternoons or that we have older cars. We have even gotten the "oh, how sad you can't have more" sentiment.
We aren't preachy about what we do so I guess I'm confused at the push back about something that does not involve them whatsoever.
