Hey folks.So I have read around about the dos and donts and most people suggest getting something that sits under the pit with 20cm-30cm of clearance on either side for sparks.My only issue is, all fire mats just seem shockingly bad at their job and I keep ginding mixed reviews on using normal pavers/slabs due to the head possibly cracking them. My plan was having two large slabs under it.The one I have looks like this : https://amzn.to/2Dmt1jT and my decking is a full wood 28ft x 16ft flat surface.Im basically looking for someone to tell me my thoughts are correct on the fire mats and if there is a specific kind of paver or whatever to put under the pit that wont crack or fall apart /transfer too much heat.Thank you! via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2DjdvFl
