I've seen a lot of cool posts about people using PVC and spraypainting it to resemble curtain rods. I want to section off a part of my basement and hang curtains around it to make a cool area mostly devoid from the rest of the basement. My issue is I need advice on a couple of things. the section is pretty big I'd say about 12 feet by 12 feet. My biggest issue is I have ductwork that goes down one foot from where the joists are. http://bit.ly/2XKeGFC So I'd have to bring the whole piping down about a foot so it's JUST under the duct so the rod hangs straight It would still hang about 6ft 8 so it wouldn't be in anyones way but I'm worried about appearance. I want advice on the best way to hang the pipes if they're that low, I would do a flange but the joists are an inch and a half thick and I don't think even a quarter inch PVC pipe could screw into that completely. So I was thinking of using whatever these are called to hang the pipe from http://bit.ly/2GMAH0S do you think they make them low enough to support the pipe from? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2XOAu2Y
