Searching hasn't been too much help. We bought a house, ripped up the dog pee stained carpet on the stairs. Found some beautiful pine underneath.I'd like to stain them but am worried about slipping - accident prone person + we have pets). As far as other options for adding a bit of traction they all take away from the look of the wood.Has anyone else scraped wood to add texture for the purpose of increasing traction a bit?
