I just got a contract for my first job as an occupational therapist and I need some help with negotiating. They called me to offer the job over the phone first and I accepted at the salary they offered (which I am very happy with). I am going to try to decline the 100% paid medical, dental, and vision care they offer because my husband is in the military so I'm covered. Here are my questions: 1) How do I even ask/phrase the question to begin negotiation? 2) I would like more PTO. They currently offer 40 hours and I would like at least another 40, how do I ask for that?
