I just turned 18 in March. Everyone except me in my family is disabled (as far as the government knows), only my dad is getting disability though my brother is working on getting his. My mother was receiving benefits for adopting me but now that I'm 18 those are gone. We were already living off of below 1000 a month but now it's more like 600.
The city group I live in is often called the meth capital of the U.S. Central valley, yay. There are no jobs here for me. I've been applying to everything for a solid year now, but on and off since 16. Everything requires experience I don't have or just never gets back to me. I'll only get my diploma in May but I'm not sure if I even have that much time, and that doesn't guarantee I'll have a job.
Safe to say, it seems I, and my family of four, is fucked. I don't know what to do. We're already getting everything we can, as far as social services go. Foodstamps, disability, power cost reductions. I already planned on joining the army to remedy this situation but that's still a ways off.
