Hi! I've recetnly come across ThredUp, the online thrift store, and I LOVE the idea, as it litterally combines my two favorite things in shopping for clothes : thrifting and online shopping.
I see they ship to Canada, but there seems to be a base 20 USD shipping cost, which only gets bigger as you add clothes to your cart (for about 10 items, the estimation amounted to 41$ USD!!), which makes shipping fees astonishingly high! It seems unreasonable and counterproductive to me to buy from there, especially as duties/taxes are not covered, which mean I could just end up paying an equal amount of money for shipping/taxes as I pay for the clothes lol.
Any Canadians with experience buying from ThredUp? Is it worth it? Were you charged extra duties and taxes by the customs?
If not, do you know any Canadian alternatives/similar buisnesses for used clothes with no insane shipping fees? (or anyone interested in collaborating on creating said entreprise haha?)
Thanks in advance!
