I have a single GFI outlet at the back of the house right now, It use to just feed an extension cord running to a bug zapper on a timer and then I'd plug my mower in when needed. However I've now added an exterior camera that needs an outlet too.I'm wondering what is the best way to add additional outlets? I would convert the single box to a double/triple however the house is covered in vinyl siding and I’m not sure how to cut in a larger box without removing the siding (it’s old and I’m worried about breaking it as getting a match is impossible)My other options are to either mount a surface mount box over the existing recessed box which I imagine wouldn’t look great and I’m not sure it’s allowed OR the easy option is to just make an extension cord into a weatherproof boxI have fine with the connections and have installed many surface mounted conduit systems for work, what I’m not sure about is how to cut boxes into siding or what to use to convert it to a surface mount box. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2ICrQAi
