You turn it into a DIY Tiffany Wall Mirror.I found this lamp in the trash pile at my neighbor's house. Even though it's not my style I knew it could be turned into something lovely.Gross and grungy because the guy never cleaned inside, eww.It took a bit of work but I managed to get all the glass apart and only cracked 3 pieces.Using a wood burning tool to melt the solder.I used wire cutters, jewelry pliers and a wood burning tool to gently coax the pieces apart. Snip only at the edges of the came to gently pull it away from the glass. Use the wood burner between the pieces of glass to loosen the copper tape. When all pieces are apart lay them in the original pattern and make a template outline on white paper so you can cut a plywood backer.Since the glass isn't all exact, transfer your pattern in order to another piece of paper.Use a jigsaw with a 15-20 tooth per inch blade to cut out the backer. Sand the edges and give it a few coats of white paint before attaching the glass with e6000 glue.Adding a mirror gives it a whole new look!It took some time and patience, and then a little clean up on the edge of the glass pieces but it was worth it.Wait for the glue to cure completely and add a hanger on the back and display it in your home.
