My husband and I are working on being debt free, which will happen this year. We're pretty good at budgeting everything except our groceries. I was curious how much other people spend because I feel like ours is out of control. I added up all the grocery store receipts for 3 months, averaged it out to $700/month. It's 2 adults and a toddler. That does include diapers, cleaning supplies, paper products. We pack our lunches, I do a lot of cooking at home, shop meat sales. We do stick with a very low carb diet (except the toddler) which can be more expensive.

Edit: take out paper products, diapers, and cleaning supplies and I would guess about $500 for actual food.

Second edit- I have two freezers full of meat and veg purchased when cheap, so I think I'll spend a couple months just using up all the frozen stuff then start fresh with a new budget. If I can get us down to $500 for everything, I'll be pretty happy.
