My husband was just offered a job in California. We’ve never lived independently (living with my parents currently) and are both about to graduate college. We admittedly have no idea how the real world works. Heck, we don’t even have our own car insurance plan, though we are working on getting one. He has good credit and we have about $5k saved up for a house. Enough for about a 5% down payment. We’re hoping for some first time buyer incentive programs, like a zero down. I know this is vague, but what should we know before we make the move? I’ll take any information you can share!
