Long story short. I’m currently living in home with a land contract. We’ve been here for three years. Due to divorce and a foreclosure from 7 years ago I had to file bankruptcy. I’m past the two year mark and should be eligible for a loan.

We’ve been shopping around due to lack of credit score (I have one now)

The issue we now have is finding a lender that handles home loans for “mobile homes” built pre 1976. The home is on a finished basement with concrete foundation on 2.5 acres.

Wells Fargo ran my app and needed all these letters of explanation (understandable) before denying the app because the year the “mobile home” was built. I’m a bit pissed because you’d think they would have known they couldn’t finance that right away.

Any who, I’m past the buy date of the contract but the seller is giving us time. How much I don’t know.

What, or where, are my options. Does anyone know a lender that could help up out. VA eligible btw.

Thanks
