If you've ever had to move somewhere quickly and unexpectedly - i.e. getting out of a bad relationship, escaping a terrible roommate, having to relocate immediately for a job, etc - how did you deal with finding a new place quickly without breaking the bank? What compromises did you have to make in the search? Did those compromises ultimately matter, or were you more concerned with just getting out of there? Any tips in keeping costs low?
