Hey Reddit,Been looking around for a small piece for my sprinkler backlflow preventer with no luck, it could simply be that I'm not wording my searches correctly, it's not a huge project but it's more for convenience in the future and there might be other solutions to accomplish this so any guidance or suggestions would be great. What I'm looking for is a bracket to keep about 2 inches of separation between the wall and my sprinkler backflow preventer, the existing bracket bends the line a bit and pushes the dome right up against the wall which gives me trouble when replacing the poppet and wrapping for freezes. I loosened the bracket and pulled the preventer out a bit for a visual, the images show the whole thing sitting somewhere between 2 to 2.25 inches from the wall which is ideal for me, tried looking around online at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Amazon but haven't found anything that would work. Would like it to also provide support as I'm planning on installing union ball valves on both sides to just remove the whole thing and pop it back in when I need. With little DIY projects my go-to has usually been those retired guys that work in Home Depot and one of them even suggested a regular union until I found the ball valve union, I've been planning on doing the same with this project but any ideas from you guys would be great too. Thanks in advance. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2FNOR1p
