...and so I anxiously turn to Reddit for the truth.
A little about me:
I'm 32, dating a girl but we don't live together yet. I have $72k between checking and savings and make roughly $80-$90k a year (some commission so it varies), and just finished student loans. I have ONE credit card but it's interest-free. My three debts: I keep a balance on the credit card and it has shot up to about $10k (but I put EVERYTHING on it because there's no interest and I earn points I can redeem for statement credits, so I make about $800 a year by using it constantly), I still owe about $5,000 on my vehicle, and I have $160k left on my home, though the property value is about 10% higher than when I bought it for $189k back in 2015.
How am I doing? I feel like I’ve got some positives going for me but I also feel like I’ve got some big black marks going against me.
PAIR OF EDITS:
1- I am contributing 2% to a 401k, current balance is about $2k.
2- Yes, the credit card is no interest. It was, I assume, a glitch, and I don’t care to poke the bear to find out more.
