My husband and I are moving into our first home and I would like to try to reduce the amount of electricity we use. I do cloth diaper so I wash 2 times a week. Once my son was born and we started on cloth I noticed our electricity bill in our apartment rising so I want to see what other ways I can reduce our consumption once we move into our house.
The house was built in 1976 and uses a gas water heater. We are adding more insulation to the attic because the current owners were missing a lot up there.
The house is a "smart" house. The current owners are leaving all the smart bulbs, nest, and a smart water sprinkler. The house also has a shed out back that has electricity and AC.
The house is 1636 sq. ft and the shed is 192 sq ft.
Edit: Forgot to say we live in Texas and in our apartment we keep it at 72 most of the time and 69 in the winter time.
