Hi there,

So my house is a smaller 3 bed 2 bath with electric baseboard heaters. They aren’t very efficient.

Our thermostats are just dials with temperature markings, and we keep them set at about 57 degrees and I’m not sure how accurate the house is kept at that heat. Regardless, it’s been in the 20s-30s where I live and we pay $90+ for that level of heat, which doesn’t feel very warm to me. Is that expensive or pretty standard?

I work from home and I find that being cold hurts my focus, and really hinders my ability to do much around the house in general, because I just want to stay in one place and be bundled up. Even in a coat and warm sweatpants I feel lethargic and unmotivated.

So, I feel like I’ve answered my own question (I should just turn up the heat), but how much is it going to cost to raise it 10 degrees? Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks!
