So the last major info I've seen is circa 2017 in regards to how bad the new Weber stuff is. I'm a big fan of kettle grilling, but my 22" silver from 2008 is a little on the small side for the types of meals I find myself cooking. I'd like to look into a 26" model but have seen too many post about Weber's current quality to feel good investing $350 into a unit from them.
I'd like to buy something this season and would be willing to look up to $500 range for a charcoal unit. Capacity and flexibility with different approach's are my main focus. I've gotten used to working with the kettle and feel comfortable on that compared to something like a kamado unit for $$$
I've seen Napolean bounced around but haven't heard a lot of first hand experience.
