I've bought a cheaper, nice looking kettle from some random company (Tristar) and yes it did look nice, but after a year of using it pretty much every day, the plastic parts got bent and twisted and the lid has come off.

Now, I'm looking for something durable, something that will actually last me at least a couple years. Probably similar aesthetics, so glass and/or metal. Plastic kettles are a no-go. I mostly drink a variety of teas, but sometimes coffee as well.

No specific budget really, I'm willing to shell out a bit more if it's really good. The kettle is something I use literally every day, so if I can get one that will last me years, it's just worth it.

I live in the Netherlands, but I don't think it's going to be a problem to order one from another EU country.
