I've recently purchased a property and the suspended ground floor needs replacing in one room due to rot. There is at least one sleeper wall in the middle of the room. I'm planning on wrapping the ends of the joist in damp proof membrane. I live in the UK if this makes any difference.I'm looking for advice on the best way to go about it and the general process, am I better to use the existing slots in the solid walls or use joist hangers? If hangers then should I attach these straight to the solid wall or attach a timber wall to then attach the hangers to the timber wall.I haven't yet pulled up any floorboards to get a better idea of the current construction but I will do this this evening. If anyone has done this before I'd appreciate any advice on the process or photos of their project. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2VHKABX
