We built a nice shed behind our house last year and it's got a ramp up to the door. The slope is just a bit too much to keep from slipping when there is any moisture out. So we got some outdoor grip tape, cut it into aesthetically pleasing (rounded) pieces, and waited a week or two after the paint dried to apply them. It looked great at first and worked well for a month or so. The "before" picture was in June, but it started buckling at places in the summer. The "after" picture shows it now. The tape pieces are not torn up, but they pulled the paint up and most came off within a year. Even some that have almost no traffic on them came up (right side ones). So how would you fix the problem without spending a lot of money? I've looked at metal grips/sheets to nail down (expensive), roofing shingles (ugly), other adhesive strips (will they do the same thing?), grippy-paint like for boats, or putting down more paint with sand or other grit. Anyone have experience with this sort of issue? We get lots of rain and lots of heat, but some freezing temps also. Thanks for any help.https://ift.tt/2IU7KDs via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2UksFRr
