Hey everyone, so I added some LED light strips to the back of my monitor and power them through a USB port on the back of my pc. How can I add an ambient lighting effect to the strips? It would need to recognize what's on my screen and which color to light up which diode. I have seen people do this with arduinos and ambilight but since the LEDs are directly connected to my pc (since it has a data cable), shouldn't my pc be able to send information to it therefore not needing an arduino?
