Yeah sure there are apps for this, and all sorts of other things with ads, but I just wanted to create a straightforward spreadsheet that helps you stay on track each month! You plug in your monthly bills, your budgeted expenses, and your base pay (plus any extra income you receive) and there you have it (comes with a really fancy pie chart also!).
On my personal spreadsheet, I log on about once a week and go through my credit card purchases and enter them all under "receipts". Once I get to a new month, I copy the sheet and label it "April", "May", etc. Then, I create a master sheet that shows how much I am over or short on each month and what my average expenditures for each category are.
