Hey frugal, here to ask a bit of a different question. How did you move out (around early 20s) on a small budget? Any tips or tricks? Anything you wish you had done correctly? Open to any tips to help save money, logistic or financial.

I'm likely moving about a 100 miles north (lower Pennsylvania) to somewhere with a much lower cost of living (about 1/3 of my current, at least for housing). I'll be going into trade school to become an electrician which is great and all, but I won't be making a trade salary in day one, it'll take a few years. I'll probably be working retail while in training, at least for a while.

I'm expecting to be renting an apartment (unless there's a cheaper alternative) and budgeting every penny (I'm already pretty damn good at it). I have one roommate set up currently, so I'm not renting alone. I need some financial/independency advice on what I can do to do this right the first time.
