I have 1/2” engineered hardwood flooring that was glued and nailed to 23/32 osb, so removing it is more work and mess than I’d like. I have some rigid vinyl plank that I am planning to install over top of the existing flooring, but want to make sure there are no soft spots in the new flooring and that joints don’t come apart in a year or two. There is some moderate sagging and soft spots in the existing engineered hardwood in high traffic areas and where we assume the previous owner’s dogs peed a lot.Does anyone have any good advice on how to prepare the floor so the vinyl plank will feel as firm as possible and hold up for 10-15 years? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2T9VxPE
