Wooden Table BaseHere is the Table Base. Here is the closeup view of the table base top. There are some holes, but they're tiny and not sure if they're significant.Intermediate supportA piece of board, side A, from the look of it, I'm supposed to mount this to the base.Board, side B, the imprint suggests this side sits on top of the base.Table Top supposedly this is a marble topThe view of the nderside of the top, no holes, no silicone/glue residues.Hi DIY Redditors, The main question is how I can attach the top to the base securely because the top is VERY heavy! Do I need bigger/longer screws? Also, do I need to use adhesive to bound the top with the wooden support piece? Thank you! Panda[EDIT] My post was removed, now I’m providing more info. I bought this dining table at a storage auction, so there were no instructions, no brand name, and no maker’s mark. Also, I researched my dilemma online for 5wks, and I couldn’t find anything similar. On this Hooker Furniture page, there’s a PDF file for assembly but it seems to me that that tabletop had holes at the bottom. My tabletop had no screw holes. My table top is very heavy, it can be easily over 150+lbs. I really want to find a reliable way to secure it to the base because I don’t want it to tip over and hurt people. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ITy8gL
