I have been in college for a while now, though my graduation date is still a few years away. I am planning to propose to and marry my girlfriend before we both graduate, and I want to have my financial situation fairly sorted out before we tie the knot. Marrying after school is outside of this question.
I have a little debt, about $600. I am a part-time photographer and videographer able to pull a fair amount of freelance work, and am discussing a position that would start this fall contracting out to a large company. This summer I will be in a living situation that only pays off about $3,000 from May to late August until I go back to school in late September. I will not marry her until I have all this in order, so I am hoping for a wedding in the summer or fall of 2020.
My goal is to have enough money to provide for a cheaper living situation while we continue our classes.
