I’m replacing my dining room dimmer switch that is wired up to my chandelier. I opened up the box to find this:https://ift.tt/2HemYlh was expecting a line in wire and a load out wire, with the black line in and black line out wired to the dimmer switch and the neutrals for each wired to each other, but I found the above. Can someone explain what is going on?My current guess would be that the left wire coming into the box is the electric line in, and the the right wire coming into the box is the line out to the light. In this case the blacks would be wired as expected, but the white neutrals are really throwing me. The one on the right, if it is coming from the light, could make sense if that pair is just being used for the black load wire, and the light is wired into the neutral line somewhere else. What I can’t figure it is why the neutral on the left is wired into the black on the other side. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2EPsRlf
