We have an apartment that we want to airbnb over the summer but use as our main living space in the non summer months. Currently there is a 45" opening but no door. I like the barn door style where we just side the door out of the way when it's not in use, but it seems barn doors max out at 42" and I believe (??) the hardware can not hold a door larger than this.I'm thinking we could do a split (bifold but not folding, just opens up) door and have two 22" doors that open up. This may look nice but I would prefer not to have anything in the 45" hallway/walkway if possible. Hence my liking the barn door idea.I can post photos if preferable, but it's just a 45" opening with wallspace on either side (or both) for barn doors to slide off, out of the way. Meaning we could have two barn doors that slide out, but I'm not sure how the hardware for this would work.Does anyone have any suggestions? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2TNXhhi
