Brand new to woodworking, but I'm making an indoor climbing wall. I'm attaching 3/4" plywood to joists with long wood screws. I have self-drilling screws, but heard that plywood always needs to have pilot holes drilled prior to drilling in the screw, even if it's self drilling.
