Most of the topics here are little tips and tricks about how to save money. But I'm wondering if anyone here has any deeper thoughts on why they are frugal?
Personally, I try to be somewhat frugal, mostly so that I can work less and spend more time reading literature, taking photographs, and doing other things that are important to me but don't cost money. I don't identify as "anti-consumption" but I do generally think that most of the important things in life don't require money.
