So my elderly parents did a reverse mortgage on our childhood home. Long story short, I was not aware that they did this at the time (10 years ago when my sister was dying of cancer and they apparently needed the $) Now, current day, my adult brother is living with and caring for them both. He cooks, cleans and does all kinds of improvements on their house. I would love to see my brother get that home when my parents are no longer here (and I think I might have the financial means to make this happen through loans) My parents are very private about their finances but I would approach them about this if I had all my info in order. I appreciate any advice! Don’t know if it’s relevant, but the state is Florida.)
