I was recently gifted two very worn/loved Chanel bags (omg!!) from an older relative who’d had them gathering dust in the closet for years.
I’m so excited, I’ve never owned designer things like this before. They are both traditional Chanel, black leather with chain straps. I want to fix them up so I can actually use them.
Right now the leather looks really faded, and the chains seem rusted over.
Are there any DIY resources for repairs that you can recommend? I was thinking about taking the purses to a seamstress I know just as a jumping off point, but I’d rather just get it done myself.
