My work contributes the equivalent of 15% of my salary each paycheck towards my retirement plan. I have never done anything with it in the past 6 years and am now trying to understand more about how these thigns work so I can make better decisions on investing.
Currently it looks like 100% of my funds are invested in Vanguard 500 Index Fund Admiral Shares...I just recently read this article:
https://investorplace.com/2019/01/5-vanguard-funds-warren-buffett/
with advice to split up the investments into 5 different vanguard funds instead of putting it all into the Vanguard 500 Index Fund Admiral Shares...
My vested balance is about 72k so far and I haven't started personally contributing yet. Should I change the investments to split them up like that article says, or keep it this way. Does it make that much difference with only 72k?
Trying to wrap my head around how all of this works, thanks for any advice!
