I have a stable job where I make about $2000/month. I've made quite a few bad decisions in the last few years before I got this job that have hindered my ability to save money or make any sort of dent in my debts. I need some advice on where to go from here. I hate living pay check to pay check and not being able to make all my payments when I make good money I feel like I shouldn't be having such a hard time with this.

My current debt:

5 credit cards that are maxed out to a total of $7,000 A car loan that is sitting at $20,000 A 2nd car loan that I am a co-signer for a friend that is at $13,000 And student loans that I owe $2,500 on

I have a credit score that fluctuates between 520 and 540

I've been talking to acquaintances that have filed for bankruptcy and they recommend this, but I'm not sure if it is my best option.

What are some things I could do to get out of this situation? Looking for any advice at all or somewhere to look that will get me headed in the right direction.
