Hello, not sure if this is the correct sub for this question. Couldn’t find any tax related subs. Anyways, I’m getting ready to do taxes this year, but unsure who is supposed to claim grant money? My wife and I, or my son? My son is 18 and is in his first year of school. He received $8,800 in federal pell and private grants. He also has a job, so he will be filing taxes himself. I usually do our taxes myself and help my son with his. Just don’t want to screw it up. Thanks.
