I would like to thank this sub for helping my wife and I make the most out of our finances and prepare for the future. At 24 and 23 years old, we gross ~$70k and have no debt other than our mortgage. I am currently going back to school for my bachelor's in CS and am paying out of pocket to avoid any debt. My wife gets a pension through her work and also contributes 8% to a 457b. I contribute 17% to my 401k and max my Roth IRA. We both grew up in households where money didn't get saved and was the source of a lot of arguments. This sub has been a guiding light in a way and helped us avoid those same pitfalls.
