Hey there, sorry if this is the wrong subreddit but I just wanted to know some opinions.
I love in southern Ontario and if you're around the area, you'll know the weather has been super cold. It's -15 celsius and can go to -25 or -30 with windchill.
I want to have a good jacket for the next time this may happen. I don't really go out and hike or camp, so this is primarily urban/suburban use for walking outside.
I've looked around a lot for some jackets and I'm interested in Patagonia and North Face and heard good things about their longevity. I have a North Face Vault backpack which is pretty good, but I'd probably choose a different bag if I had the option.
Here are some coats I am considering (all prices CAD):
Patagonia Topley Jacket (Found on another website for approximately $330)
Carhartt WIP Nimbus Pullover (I'm interested to hear about this one, because it's a pullover)
I also value a good hoodie and some good pocket space, but these are less essential. I would also prefer to avoid fur or faux fur because I don't like how it looks.
Thank you for any help you can provide me.
