I never liked the look of purses big enough to hold all my things, and the few I had fell apart in months. I switched to tote bags. I got a New Yorker tote I thought would last forever. It was very durable. However, it doesn't clean easily and has multiple tears in it. I'm not sure why; I don't do anything particularly taxing. It's too ratty to carry around, so I'll probably fuck the design and throw it in the wash and use it for groceries until it falls apart.
I was thinking of saving up for a Kanken Mini instead. I love the look of them (which is kind of important to me) and I think it'll get beat up less on my back without being big and cumbersome/putting more strain on my neck and shoulders.
I'm guessing they're durable because they're made for children? Any experience with that? I also need something easy to clean. I work in a hardware store and everything is coated in dust.
Right now I think it's what I will go with, but I don't want to spend $70+shipping on a bag if it's not going to last a long time. I get that daily use bags fall apart eventually, but I want it as close to BIFL as a purse can be. Personal experiences would be great.
